Madelyn Rose: A Rising Star in Country Music

Madelyn Rose's journey into the world of country music began in the most personal of settings—a Memorial Day party in her backyard at the age of 14. It was her first performance, showcasing her original music to family and friends. Since that humble beginning, she has signed with music label Vere in 2022, and has just released her second EP. Now 17, she continues to captivate audiences with her heartfelt performances and authentic country sound.

Inspired by the likes of Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, and Lainey Wilson, this early start solidified her connection to country music, a genre that always felt like home to her. With the purchase of a garage sale keyboard at the age of 4, Madelyn's passion was nurtured by her biggest supporters, her parents. This laid the foundation for her to pursue music seriously rather than just as a hobby. Now, with the release of her second EP, it’s clear that this was definitely the right career path for the young star.

Her musical style is most defined by the honesty in her lyrics and relatable storytelling. Madelyn strives to be as genuine as possible, hoping that her authenticity helps listeners relate to her music. She hopes that while listening, people can forget their everyday worries and sing along with her, which honestly sets her apart in the country music genre. While on stage, she connects with her audience through storytelling, sharing personal anecdotes that bring her songs to life.

Madelyn’s new EP "Cowboys," just released this September of 2024. The songs on the EP embody a traditional country feel with a modern twist, reminiscent of late 90s and early 2000s country music. She reflects, “I think my music is evolving to be more upbeat and traditional. In the past I was going through a lot of heartbreak,and I wasn’t really feeling like myself. Writing music was an outlet for me to get my feelings down. These days, I want to really enjoy my music and get the crowd energized and not focus so much on those emotions, but rather more about having fun. The central theme for the project is really just about loving life and having fun!”

In the future, Madelyn has her sights set on opening for major artists and is currently in the midst of a Finger Lakes tour. She loves performing in every size venue and looking ahead, she dreams of embarking on a larger tour, bringing her music to new audiences across the country. She believes music doesn’t always have to be deep and meaningful; sometimes, it’s about having fun and enjoying the moment, and she can’t wait to share that energy with her audience.
